Navan is
located in the North-East of Ireland, just 27 miles north of Dublin
City Centre. For those coming from Dublin, take either route N2 or N3, directions as follows:
- N2: Follow N2 north directly to Balrath Cross (R153 junction), turn left onto R153 and continue for 10 kms approximately when you will find Athlumney Manor B&B on your left. (see map below).
- N3: Follow N3 north directly to Navan town. Athlumney Manor is located on R153 just 2 kms off N3.( See map below)
For those coming from Dublin airport, take the M50 motorway over to the N2/N3 and
follow the same directions as above. There is also a direct bus service each hour to and from Dublin airport servicing Navan town.
Once in Navan, you have the perfect base for exploring all that the
Royal County has to offer.

be found just off the N3 from Dublin about 6 miles outside the town. Also in the nearby locality
is the visitor centre at Kells, origin of the world famous Book of Kells.
The Loughcrew Megalithic Cairns
are to be found at Oldcastle, near Kells. Towards Drogheda, you can visit Mellifont Abbey, Monasterboice
and the location of the Battle of the Boyne.
And of course, we have Athlumney Castle overlooking us so that's just
a few minutes walk away!
For those arriving by bus/coach, the Bus Éireann drop-off point is quite central ( see map below ) and you
can walk to Athlumney Manor from this stop in about 15 minutes. For people with heavy baggage, there
is a steady supply of licenced taxis operating in Navan which can help you reach us in comfort.
Athlumney Manor is also served by the town local bus service which operates within a small radius around the
town of Navan.
Athlumney Manor has a plentiful supply of tourist guides and maps and we will be only too glad to help
you with directions to any one of the many sights in the locality - please ask should you need any assistance.
One of the more popular trips undertaken by our guests is the bus tour of Dublin. Guest can take the bus to Dublin from
Navan town centre ( departures every 30 mins, travel time 50 mins ) and then avail of one of the many Dublin city bus
tours which take visitors around 19 of the most popular tourist and historical attractions.
